Late-Discovered Autism is an Unfurling.
Let’s reframe your story together.
Let’s reframe your story together.
If you are an adult seeking support who is late-diagnosed Autistic, AuDHD, or questioning neurodivergence, you belong here. Services include psychoeducation, coaching, consulting, and resources primarily in Olympia, WA and the surrounding areas.
Does this internal dialogue
sound familiar?
If you are navigating this overwhelming internal struggle alone, you don't have to. Let's work together to help you integrate and live with less overwhelm.
You may be questioning if you are neurodivergent, self diagnosed, or clinically diagnosed. It doesn't matter. You are welcome here. I support late-discovered Autistic and AuDHD people regardless of their diagnosis, offering in-person sessions near Olympia, WA, and virtual support nationwide. I know what it feels like to doubt yourself, your experience, and your validity. That is from years of being misunderstood, and carrying the weight of thinking something was fundamentally wrong with you.
Why I use the word "Support":
Your journey doesn't fit into a single neat box. On any given day, you might need a safe space to learn about your brain, a collaborative partner to troubleshoot a sensory issue, or just an ally to help you map out your week. "Support" encompasses all of this without forcing you into a rigid, clinical structure. As such, we will flow through the use of psychoeducation, consulting, and coaching depending on what you need that day.
What does neuro-affirming mean?
If you have ever been told that you aren’t empathetic, or good at keeping friends, then you have been looked at through a deficit lens. The alternative, a neuro-affirming understanding, is that you express empathy differently, and communicate differently than neurotypical people. Neurotypical ways of thinking and neurodivergent ways of thinking are simply different. We would be better served in finding ways to work together instead of looking at each other as right or wrong.
What is the difference between psychoeducation, consulting, and coaching?
While these terms often overlap in the neurodivergent space, they each serve a different purpose:
Psychoeducation provides the foundational information and framework (understanding your neurodivergent brain).
Consulting focuses on looking at specific problems and finding structural solutions (like redesigning your home environment to decrease sensory overload).
Coaching focuses on collaborative, forward-facing goal setting (like building sustainable habits that accommodate your actual available energy).
How is this work different from therapy?
This is the most important distinction of this space: This work is collaborative and educational; it is not clinical therapy or mental health counseling.
Therapy involves a licensed clinician diagnosing mental health conditions, treating psychiatric symptoms, and processing deep psychological trauma.
Here, I am present as a neurodivergent coach and late-diagnosed professional with a psychology background to share tools, validate your lived experience, and help you build a self-affirming path forward. You are the expert of you.
If you are currently processing deep trauma, I highly encourage you to work with a licensed neuro-affirming therapist. Many clients find that pairing clinical therapy with practical psychoeducation support is an incredibly powerful combination.
Our sessions are based on the practical, real-world aspects of navigating a late-identified life through Neuro-Affirming Coaching & Psychoeducation.
Pre or Post Diagnosis Support: Processing the reality of being neurodivergent can bring up a tidal wave of grief, relief, and confusion. I provide collaborative neurodivergent consulting and space to validate your history, reframe your past experiences without shame, and figure out exactly what you want to do with this information.
Sensory Profile Integration: You might already wear headphones to block out sounds or avoid fluorescent lights, but did you know there are actually 8 different sensory systems at play? Together, we will map out how your unique nervous system processes the world, learning how to work with it rather than constantly fighting against it.
Unmasking Exploration: "Just be yourself" is a frustrating phrase when you've spent a lifetime quietly masking in order to fit in and survive. Over time, masking becomes an unconscious survival mechanism that drains your battery. We will gently explore how masking shows up for you and find genuine ways to reconnect with your authentic self.
Autistic Burnout Support: Autistic burnout is debilitating, and it is fundamentally different from standard occupational burnout. It builds up from the relentless, cumulative effort of masking and adapting to a world not designed for your nervous system. We will look at what your burnout looks like specifically, and build toward sustainable, long-term prevention.
